Looked it over pretty good. For some reason this new GP100 3" 44 Spl looks bigger than a GP100 3" 357.

Optical illusion and aging eyes I guess.

There is also a writeup in American Rifleman online. And here is the link to Jeff Quinn's review over at
Gun Blast:

Gunblast has a good video up too. I think this will sell as good as the Flattop Blackhawk .44 Special...love my Bisley Flattop .44 Special.

I'm a fan of the 44 Spl and this is one great looking GP100 revolver. I just watched Jeff's review on Gunblast and it seems Ruger did it right. Love the 3" barrel. Sigh...now to start saving up again.

This is being touted in the reports I've seen as a good woods gun. I already have a 3" 5 shot .44 Special, and it weighs about 2 pounds less. This one might be a winner with a longer barrel for general work, but I think I'll keep my Charter Bulldog

Yep the bulldog is lighter, but the GP100 will shoot the heavy loads that make the Bulldog whimper

Now we need them to make a 5 shot in God's caliber, the 45Colt.

I wants one!

Doubt we will get a GP in 45 Colt... some hand loader would blow one up. Would be cool for responsible shooters though.

Just when I think I don't want any more guns, Ruger goes and introduces the Mk IV, the stripped AR556 receiver and now this!
I'm gonna have to save up a bit for a while!
