Barrel Length For GP 100????

Hi Friends

Just out of curiosity, since the Ruger GP100 is available in several barrel lengths (3, 4, 5, 6 inches), available also in full under barrel lugs and half-lugs.

Which among those offerings do you like????

I love my GP100-6". I sure wouldn't mind a 4 or 5" barrel version either.

Ilike a longer sight radius on my handguns and I have aGP-100 with a six inch barrel, 71/2 inch on my Blackhawk and SuperRedhawk, So I believe it is a matter of preference. Also one should cosider how it will be used, shorted barrels are easier to concel and carry

Well........

I have the following:

4" Full Lug SS
4" Full Lug SS (yes I have two)
3" Full Lug SS
3" Full Lug Blued
6" Half Lug Blued
and the latest acquisition (yesterday)

a 6" Full Lug SS..........

I guess you could say I like them all. Best compromise in power/size would have to be the 4" version either half or full lugged.

I currently have the 3" full lug SS, but I started out shooting with a 6" full lug SS.
