Your statement says it all. And don't rule out a speed six either. Any six series is worth adding to the collection. I would say this is my most accurate revo. A tack driver.

GunBroker has been known to let a bargain get out once in awhile. Two years ago, I won a 4" blue for $235 + $15 transfer. At least 95% with no flash erosion under the top strap nor a rotation ring. Might watch there also.

After you "fell into" a what ? Hope you weren't damaged as much as your revolver.
I got my two, Blued 2.75 and SS 6" from a LGS for $275 and $325 in VG for the Blued and EXL for the 6".
This year there were two more both SS, 2.75 and 6" for $325.
That a lot of gun for the money but I wouldn't pay a lot just to own one. If there was a 4" Security Six next to a 4" GP for the same money and my purpose was shooting gun, I'd take the GP.
For me, my GP w/Hogues is really the nicer gun to shoot.
My 4" stainless Security Six is the best handgun I've ever owned or shot, and that's a lot of guns. They're great. Everyone that shoots mine always ends up saying, "If you ever decide to sell it..." That will never happen.
I bought a new 6 inch security six in 1978. I shot it extensively ever since.
Lots of guns have come and gone but it is still my favorite. my 5 in GP100 spends a lot of time in the safe while I am shooting the S Six. They have a feel that is all their own. It is hands down the most accurate handgun I have ever owned. After at least 25 K rounds it will still put 5 in a 3in target dot at 25 yds [off a rest]. Based on my experience you need one.
