That thing came out great imo...definitely one of my favorites to date... the polished AL rings and thread cap really set it off...that is very, very nice touch imo...excellent blend of 'tactical' performance and classic looking beauty...I don't see many examples of that...there is pistol in the gun gallery that does that to perfection...you are pretty close to that yourself imo...this is the thread...worth looking at for sure... Jlh820 diy 1911

I am still working on my Charger Lite Scout project...it's nothing to look at as it is still in what I like to call 'erector set' prototype mode...highly functional but not finished by any means...I can only hope it looks half as good as that one when it is finalized...

We are very lucky imo to have gotten the last of those barrels...they are not only very light but very accurate too...mine likes Wolf MT the best so far...

I didn't have the better of two trigger groups I own in the gun for this test...additionally...I am not a range/bench shooter by any means so my methods/equipment and trigger pulling at the range were not what they could/should be for making a statement as to just how accurate the barrel really is...even still it was more than good enough to prove to me that we got a great deal on a great barrel...!!!

Charger Lite Scout

I am looking forward to having it finished up with the barrel drilled and tapped for the scope mount and putting it in a nice custom made wood stock...at that point it is going to be a sweet little short-range tack driver...

Thanks Zommy
I owe you for the heads up on the barrel. Even picked my brother up one for his charger but he hasn't installed his yet.
Even with bulk ammo this thing is more accurate than me.
Was agonizing waiting over 7 weeks for all the parts to arrive. I feel it was worth the wait!

Nice work, Vandy !!!!!!!!!!!!

That is actually an understatement...

I can't believe I missed this one before. This is EXACTLY what I had in mind for myself. Been talking about it for two years and now that I have seen it I KNOW I am going to do it at some point.

Personally I would/will free float the barrel on mine but the grip is excellent and I would love to have that stock for myself.

Nice job 5437. I like the cheek rest for the scope. I have a couple of hacked up plastic stocks that I left material for the cheek rest also. Don't need it with a red dot, however and that is my preference these days for the Charger.

Thank You, and your right it needs to be free floated. It does not like being strapped in there. My accuracy went out the window when I put this together.
