craigcoffee is on a distinguished road
after getting curious as well, i did a google search on chr22-fc; about the 6th or 7th search down, it had a RUGER 2009 catalog in the search results, which highlighted text of "CHR22-FC stands for fired cartridge required in certain states and locales ..."

weird, but curiosity satisfied.
