New Charger forum

I just wanted to start a forum dedicated to the Ruger Charger only. A simple free forum that you can discuss the Charger without wading through tons of posts to get the info you're looking for. At this time, I am the only member. I have never ran a forum board before, so bear with me.

Chargers aren't all that popular and the only difference between a Charger and a 10/22 is barrel length and the pistol grip stock, oh and the charger stamp on the receiver. I own one and I shoot it all the time. It's one of my favorite fun guns but with all that being said its very doubtfull you will get much of a dedicated following. Truthfully, what can be said about it that hasn't already been said about the 10/22? The only big debate I have ever seen for the Charger is "Which scope should I use?"

I agree. So what scope should I use? I've already tried three on it. The trigger is still being modified so I haven't shot it yet. I think I've got the right one for me. Biggest issue is eye relief. Its a pistol and you would think a pistol scope would be best but for me its a rifle scope. My Aimpoint didn't seem to do the trick because accuracy is more importand then getting on target fast.

Just found this thread and I will go into the Charger forum tomorrow when I have a bit more time.
I have had mine for about a year now and really like the darn thing.
True, it's a novelty, true it isn't good for much else but shooting but it is sure a lot of fun to shoot.
It's fun to shoot, it is cheap to shoot and you can experiment with sights and scopes and trigggers etc. without ruining your bank account.
As for the people who make fun of them I would imagine they really don't have much else to do to keep themselves busy.

Just because we make fun of them doesn't mean we don't like them.

Or we could just add a Ruger Charger forum to the Ruger Forum site?

Oh well, I tried

Well I guess I'll close down the one I made, on another site. Seems there isn't much interest in a separate forum for only Chargers.

David, I appreciate your enthusiasm for the Ruger Charger, I sincerely do. Hopefully this new section can provide a community for the Charger since it does have a following.
