The cheapest red dot that works is Wally World's Tasco (tube type) at $33 (use to be $30). I use a Pentax ($70) for steel challenge matches which I shot today. My friend has a Buck Mark (Reflex) which he likes a lot ($50).

If you are going to shoot a lot of long distance, go for a scope over the red dot.

Thanks | You can buy a vintage high quality scope for the same amount you would pay for the NCSTAR. Try finding an old Weaver on ebay. All the vintage Weavers were made in the good old USA.
