Charger Range report and CZ 452

I finally sighted in my CZ 452 and Ruger Charger. At 50yds rested, using Wolf Match 22lr I got a 1" group with the CZ. Using Federal 22lr the group opened up quite a but. These are the only 2 brands of 22lr I have tried so far. CZ is scoped with a cheap BSA 3-12 power. My CZ was bought used and the scope is old as there are cracks in the rubber around it. One of these days I want to get a new, nicer scope.

My Charger I sighted in at 50yds as well, rested of course using the bipod. I only used Federals as it was getting late. You can see where my first 4 shots, 2 lower right and 2 upper left (one in red) hit then once zeroed in all the shots were in the red. I used handmade targets on typing paper and the red dot is 2.5" so the group is pretty good. I was kind of surprised at how accurate the Charger is. The scope on it is a 25 yr old Bushnell Phantom 2 power pistol scope. I would really like to put on a good scope and then see what the Charger can do! As it was, I could just see the red dot through the Bushnell...does not help being old either I took a couple pics. Does anyone have either of these guns and how do yours perform? Not sure if I can do better without better scopes,so I am sure someone else has one of these guns and has done better...would like to know!

The CZ does not like Federal 22lr as seen by all the far flung shots...the Wolf Match is in a cluster measuring 1". Charger is the white target, CZ is brown.

I've got a Charger on order and appreciate your report. Still not sure what kind of optics I'll need. Wish I could iron sight it somehow.

I've admired the CZ rifles for a long time. The mannlicher-stocked version has me wishing, too.

Thanks for your input.
