What's wrong with the factory Charger stock (My opinion)

This is my opinion and based on the size of my hand. Lets start with a few measurements. I have added pics of a Ruger Mark III for comparison.

Distance from web of thumb and first joint of index finger--2.9"
Distance from valley to trigger, Mark III--2.5"
Distance from valley to trigger, Charger--3.1"
Distance from back of grip, perpendicular to trigger--3.3"
Distance above trigger centerline to valley--approx. 0.5"

Pics:
Arm and wrist in line with barrel of gun, Mark III
Finger on trigger in relation to above pic.
Finger "on" trigger with Charger held the same as Mark III (in line with barrel)
Mis-Alignment of arm and wrist on Charger to reach trigger.
LOP Mark III
LOP Charger, as well as valley over centerline of trigger.

It seems to me that the whole grip should be moved closer to the trigger guard and the valley should be lowered about 1/2" to line up your finger to the trigger centerline. What do you all think? Did Ruger not actually have someone hold and shoot the Charger before it went to market?

Pic 5 should show 2.5 " LOP on Mark III

While I understand your point, I never have nor will I ever shoot my Charger like I do a pistol.
Mine is always on the bipod, gripping and shooting it with one hand and resting the other hand underneath. Almost the same position I use for my 10/22. It is very comfortable for me.
While the Charger is classified as a pistol, I consider it to be a very short rifle and treat it as such.
To be truthful, the Charger really serves no purpose. It is too long and heavy to be a pistol and too short to function as a rifle.
Having said that, it is my favorite firearm at the range. I can shoot that gun all day long, switching between a Burris Tactical Red Dot and a 3 x 9 x 32 scope and attempt to get the smallest group possible. It is my way of relaxing and having a bit of fun.
I love my little Charger pistol.......rifle.......remote paper punch.......whatever it is.

Below is a 5 shot group at 50 feet, the orange area is 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Maybe not great but my shooting skills are not all that amazing.

I use mine in SB Silhouette, so it does have a purpose. At 50 ft off of a bench/bipod, I wouldn't worry about it, but shooting 25 -100 yds and not being able to rest the gun on anything except my own body parts, means no "rock solid" rest and creates tension (shakes) when things don't line up properly (shooting from a creedmore/dead frog position). Don't get me wrong, I like my gun just not the stock, as I don't believe it serves any purpose for most shooters unless they are simply shooting off a bench.

The stock seems fine to me. Its not shot like a rifle or pistol and I think they did a great job on the stock/bipod/barrel combo.

The IWB works better if you remove the bi-pod first.

i wonder if the Mares Leg holster is close enough to hold the Charger?
or the manufacturer could be contacted to modify it to hold the charger

still - I love the Chargers
