I can't believe I'm even jumping in, but I own a Howdah Hunter (a double .58 barreled pistol), I believe it has 10" barrels and I own a shoulder stock for mounting onto the pistol butt. Given the readings posted and discounting the possible antiquities points involved, it is a newly made pistol, serial numbered and I had to fill out the 4473??? form when I bought it.
So is IT a convertible pistol or a pistol that thinks its a SBR?
Apart from all the legal fun - the guns a hoot to shoot! But everybody thinks it's a sawed off shotgun when they first see it. If we ever get open carry here..................

It is and I know it's a reproduction, but everything about it says modern construction except dumping powder down the barrels.

I've been searching the internet to find information on the maximum length a pistol can be and I have come up blank. It appears there is no maximum length. I hate being wrong. |

Hey it happens to all of us. Few are man enough to admit it though. That takes a lot of guts... its a lot easier to just not return to the thread... I definitely respect that more than you know.
Its funny how things that we have "known" for a long time turn out to be false... You read it somewhere, then years later you have forgotten reading it, but the info is still kicking around in there.... Thats why I always fight so hard to correct wrong info, so it doesnt happen to the next guy. It makes a lot of people not like me I guess But, please dont take it personally...
