New Charger TD Owner

Hi guys. Just checking in. I just got a new Charger TD last week. I was visiting in-laws and we took a trip to a small little gun shop that incredibly had one sitting on the shelf. I snatched it up immediately. I've been eyeballing it since it was first announced.

I was thinking of throwing on a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot and calling it good. Anyone go that route?

Welcome to the forum from southern Arizona!
I don't have a Charger, but love the red dots on my 22/45 and 10/22 TD.
I'd say go for it.

Welcome and congrats!

A trs-25 sounds like a winner to me... or for any 10/22 really. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Forum and Hello from Illinois!!

Walked into one of my favorite gun shops looking for powder and guess what called me....a Charger takedown! There is a 3 day denial of rights here in the DPRI and I can't wait to take this to the range and pop off a couple hundred rounds. Have to get an optic on it first though.

Which shop? The only one I can remember having them in stock was Midwest (in Lyons). Their prices seemed a bit high.

Welcome from Missouri! I started with a BSA red dot on my standard Charger & it was so accurate I went with a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire in 4x & love it.

That Bushnell TRS-25 red dot is very nice & would work great & also it is a 3 MOA & would be a smaller dot at 25 yards, covering less of the bullseye. My BSA was a 5 MOA dot

An hour and a half from Chicago sounds like a better place.

My M1 Garand came from a shop out in Rochelle.

+1 on the TRS25. I put one on my 10/22 and it's fantastic. I've shot it both indoor and outdoors in bright sunlight and no problems finding a setting that wasn't so bright the dot became a blob or too dim. It's fantastic when shooting plates and I set my zero dead on at 50 feet which means +/- less than what the dot covers out to 50 yards. Money well spent.

I have the TRS-25 on my standard model and a Leupold 2X on my TD model and am completely happy with both. The 10 settings on the TRS makes it perfect for any amount of light and the battery lasts for ever.
