Bull barrel vs lightweight build question

I have a Charger that should be in this week if it comes in. I played with a take down at a local gun show. I really like the looks of the Kit Defense chassis but it seems to designed for a bull barrel. Here is where I am confused. Putting a lighter chassis and a bull barrel seems like it will make the weapon even more barrel heavy or am I missing something?
