Just picked my charger up yesterday. Took it to the range today and had a good time shooting it. Having fun with a gun is the only reason I need to own it.

I've always kind of wanted one. Plus, I had an idea for a book where the Charger had a role. On Sunday, I got an email from Whittaker's about a late sale. On a whim, I visited there site, and while I was there I looked to see if they had any Chargers. I had seen a plain Jane one at a LGS on Christmas Eve, but didn't want to drop $270 right now. Whittaker's had the same plain Jane for around $230, so I ordered it. The day before, I had ordered a Bushnell TRS-25, which Primary Arms had on sale for $60, and a riser to put it on my AR, but now I'll prolly divert the Bushnell to the Charger until next year some time when I can get a pistol scope for it.

As for use, I have no need of one at all. I just WANT one. It will prolly be nothing more than a neat range toy, but there's nothing inherently wrong with having a gun just for fun, instead of to fulfill some particular, well-defined need or purpose. It looks like it will be a blast to shoot, and I'll prolly just sit there grinning like an idiot while I'm shooting it. And you know something? There's not a dang thing wrong with that, either.

When the Chargers first came out, I thought it would be fun to have one. My shooting buddy bought one so I had the privilege of "try before you buy". I'm glad I tried it out because I just can't figure what it's goof for. I totally respect anyone that bought one .... but a Charger just isn't my cup of tea.

I joined the club this morning! I found a deal on the TRS-25 last week and threw it on there, but will prolly also get a pistol scope for it next year some time. Maybe a legit Harris bipod, too. But as of right now, I'm happy!!!

Here is mine! Got it for Christmas, have not shot it yet. The scope is an inexpensive "AIM" 2x7 long eye relief. I get a good sight picture from 8 inches to arm's length.

I bought a charger take down a coupe of days ago. It is cool, very accurate etc. The main reason I wanted one is it is a useful tool to teach my grand kids how to shoot.

I have had my charger for a year now only thing I have done is put a hogue grip and a kidd charging handle with lighter spring and a cheap Simmons scope. At 30 yards its a dime size shooter at 50yards its a quarter at 100yards its a red dixie cup size. Been that way since new. Thats with cci standard lead nose. So yea its a fun and cheap to shoot gun-toy
