Any thoughts?
It's a separate piece that Ruger calls the Grip Mount Lug in the parts diagram. I'm not crazy about the pistol grip they chose for the gun - I wouldn't select it for an AR I was putting together - but I don't know if you can easily swap out the stock grip for any other AR grip. I hope so.

Any AR grip will fit the Charger. I put a BCM Gunfighter Mod 1 grip with the "High Rise Back Strap" on mine and it fits perfectly. The curve of the wood stock matches the curve of an AR so any AR grip you want will fit.

Yea, when I get to it, I'm swapping out the grip. Probably Magpul... cuz I'm a Magpul junkie.

I also want to get an auto bolt release in this bad boy... just need to free up some money.

Here is the grip I put on the Charger.

You can see how it fits the stock.

Very nice. It even follows the lines of the laminate.

When I can find a black one I will be trying the MagPul "K" grip. It's a little shorter and I think the angle will be better.

I am glad you posted this! The stock grip is on the left, Bushmaster on the right, and a Tapco Intrafuse in the center. I really like the Bushmaster but it needs a little work for the back strap to fit the charger correctly.

I had one of these lying around. It was from a friend with a bad stipling job. I slapped it on and it feels pretty stinkin' good on the Charger. For under $20, it's a nice change.

I am not sure what it's purpose is but I played with a take down at a local gun show and I want one. It should be here this week. I can't wait. I am already looking at upgrades...

It's a go to jail card if you mount the Charger barrel on the rifle stock.
I new the "go to jail" card occurred if said swap occured, was primarily curious about the capability of it. I don't own either TD, but am debating on the 10/22 version.

There's a YouTube video out where a guy replaces the grip with an ATI x2 Scorpion grip that looks pretty good(although not cheap). I been thinking about doing it myself with my Take Down.

New Grip

Here's the grip I ended up with for the Charger. It comes with 3 different inserts for both front and back straps so you can adjust it to fit your hand(grip).
