the "new" ruger .22 charger pistol...

has anyone else seen these around yet? anyone have one? i just saw one for the first time this morning at murdochs. i have to admit i was intrigued. i don't usually go in for those multi-colored laminate stocks, but i was drawn to the one i saw.

The regular model doesn't do much for me as I already have a Gen I charger, but I saw my 1st Charger Takedown today and I had a hard time walking away from it. I'm waiting for my FFL to get one in, but he either seems to be taking his time, or he can't get one. I'd rather buy from him, but otherwise I would've bought the Takedown today. That's a cool little firearm and seems to me to be better than the Gen I that I already have.

What? You don't have one already? Waveform and I thought you got the memo!

Seen it, yes.

Bought it:

Modified it:

Added to it:

I like the old stock more than the plastic pistol grip of the new stock so I was able to get an old stock at a good price.

I saw my first of the "new" Chargers, today. Have to admit that although I don't care for the plastic grip as far as looks, it is more comfortable than the one on the original Charger I had. Definitely more room between it and the trigger guard.

Really dig the take-down version, but nah not for me. I prefer the real 10/22.

Hey Arg0 - got the new TD version down here but have yet to get to the range with it. Pretty cool rig with case and all and I expect good things once I do get to the range. Green laminate would not have been my first choice but it'll be just fine.

I'm not sure exactly what purpose it has beyond being a fun range gun but I'm glad I have it.

I have seen a few in shops, they don't stay on the shelf very long. I think I will have to get one before they disappear again.
What I would really like to see though is a bolt action version with the bolt lever on the left side.

Remington should have made a left hand bolt for the XP-100
