Yea, and they JUST released it. I got the email and noticed Ruger has it on their website now. I guess my questions just needed to wait a few minutes!

Saw it today on the Ruger site and got real excited but have to say I am not very impressed with the AR grip. Looked at older versions and like them much better. But, that doesn't mean that there won't be one in my future.

What puzzles me is that just below the Charger announcement is an ad for a replacement trigger. If it's so great, why isn't it in the gun already? I know, cost is probably it, but that really irks me when a company produces a product and then says "oh by the way, we have an improvement for your brand new weapon".

Ya I got the e-mail also but what I'm really looking forward to is the BX-15 round mag. I might need to get a take down model to go with the older Charger I have.

Daviscc the great thing about the AR grip is you should be able to change it out for any AR grip you like so you can really make it more custom to your liking.

I saw this on Ruger's fb page and I don't quite get the design.

Well I'm eating crow, didn't think it would come back. I'm happy for you Charger fans. Still won't be buying one assuming it ever is sold in Cali.

Lots of enhanced features and a takedown model too. I give them an A for effort.

I am now curious if this is going to force the prices down on the old Charger's that I am seeing on all the gun auction sites that are going for $500 - $800.

I was wondering this, too. Which way will it trend?

I thought the old Chargers were a head scratcher, but with .22 ammo coming back the idea is starting to appeal to me. Especially the takedown model. Is the bipod included? If not, why the heck not?

I believe they come with the bipods. Gunblast showed the case the Charger comes in. It has the bipod.

New Charger?

I was always curious about the Chargers, but never bought one. I had several other .22 pistols that served each purpose.
Now that I have seen the new Charger in a take down model with a threaded barrel, I have decided to get one.
I believe I will have a use for one now. With several mags of ammo, it is perfect for any survival situation. It will be carried broke down in my pack for hunting and fishing as a buck up gun.
I almost bought the 10-22 take down rifle just for that reason. Tried out my son's, but it was just too long and took up too much room in my pack.
Maybe go with some type of red dot optic or even an extra barrel with iron sights.

New Charger?

Always trying to justify spending money on a new gun and if I really need it. I have sold and traded a lot of guns I never used over the last few years for guns I will use. Getting rid of the "safe queens".
I was always curious about the Chargers, but never bought one. I had several other .22 pistols that served their purpose, whether it was for target shooting or hunting. The Charger didn't fit in anywhere.

I believe the Charger will serve a purpose for me now. And the fact that I plan on suppressing it too will be nice. Maybe go with some type of red dot optic or even an extra barrel with iron sights.
