I haven't researched the front sight, but the rear sight is a standard 10/22 flip-up sight. You should be able to swap it out with any 10/22 rear sight. The front is a William's fire sight. I thought I might like to swap the rear out with the corrolating fiber-optics.

Can anyone confirm about the sights? I like the firesights but want to make sure I can get a set that fits.

Thanks

I fondled one of those yesterday at Buds, $249 price tag. Very nice gun that went on my list.

I haven't researched it, but it would make sense that firesights would work on this gun since the rear sight is a Ruger 10/22 sight.

List?! Buy it! I am very impressed with this plinker! It excels with subsonics!

Last time I checked online, it's not there. I'll check Buds again today.

I believe Bud's is in KY. Perhaps they reserve stock for the showroom and some for the internet...

That makes sense.
However, they do list out of stock items when you click on a category and manufacturer. The new RAR Rimfire does not show up at all, at least, last time I checked.
Perhaps, with the site update done to the 'California Compliant' category, the new rifle is also added to rimfire rifles.

If you really want one, then I hope you get one, alayonruger! I know you have been seeking this rifle. I know CA makes MANY obstacles for residents.

Let me say this: I love the Ruger 10/22, but the RAR has me believing in a whole different dimension of 22lr shooting! It is accurate and it does soooo much better with subsonics. Right now, subsonics are my main shooter. Both rifles need cycling, but the RAR does much better with that and other types of ammo. It just keeps feeding! I still want another 10/22, but the RAR is so darn accurate AND a joy to shoot!

They do have a longer barrel: 22" I believe. The MSRP is $329 the last time I checked...

I bought a cheap bipod once. Returned it and have only used Harris ever since. Slings are pretty much as personal as a holster and fit most rifles. Not sure what the sling mounts on this one are.

GSR Fan is an unknown quantity at this point
ShopRuger.com has a sling specifically for the American Rimfire last time I checked. The Harris bipods are great, but on a budget the Blackhawk model at Walmart works well too for range and play.
