That Ruger looks like a real nice, robust bolt-action .22 rifle. I am coming to like bolt-action in .22 rifles. The nice thing is that it uses Ruger magazines, so if you have 10/22 you are all set.

I am not a fan of the 10/22 style sights, but a rifle like that probably wants a scope or an optic anyway.

Neon Horse,

Awesome! Like the compactness of the 18" model.

huntsman22,

I have to say, if Ruger would make 'em with THAT stock color, I'd really want one!!

Redleg,

I had the Savage Mk IIs (F & G) with 10-rd mags. Nice accurate rifles, but feeding problems was not for me. I too like that the Ruger American Rimfire uses the 10/22 (good when you have a 10/22, or two or ten (yeah I know some guys/gals do LOL).

Congrats! Looks like Ruger is still sticker happy.

Thinking of picking up a compact this week, and after seeing the tan one, I think it's going to happen. Then paint it up fit my daughter!

I just picked mine up yesterday for $269 out-the-door. Does anyone know if there is a way to mount an EOTECH 512 on It? I've got a spare optic begging to be used and I thought it might look good on my new toy

ProMag makes a Picatinny rail for the 10/22. Sells for $20-30. Then you could mount the EOTech.

Just an FYI....the picatinny rail for a 10/22 will not fit, the spacing on the front mount does no line up. Oh well, back to the drawing board
