The tightest group was around 1.2" before I reset windage. I was using 155gr Hornady A-Max over CFE223 powder setup per the Hornady manual. They Chronyed at 2700fps at 25 degress F. Any of 'em would have put meat on the table.
Looks good for 200 YDS...(I have seen $1000 rifles that would not group that well).......How do you like that powder??....I never have tried it. Does it burn clean ?? and does it run through a powder measure uniformly ??...............Don in SC
Thanks 218bee. It meters very well and very clean in the .308. Although I hand measure each load in the .308. Metered well in the .223.
I was satisfied with the results when you consider I as using a downed tree and homemade sand bag for a rest.LOL
Nice grouping! Waiting to get my Redfield Revolution mounted on my new American in .308. I wont be using handloads just yet, starting with Federal Power Shok 150 and 180 grain. Trying several different factory loads to see what the American likes.
