I get real curious about anything for a lefty and see they offer LH in 375 Ruger. I know nothing about that round, time for a little research.

I don't know. That doesn't look like a "guide gun" to me. Of course, Marlin "trademarked" the term for their lever action line, ... Still, that doesn't look like a guide gun.

As far as I can remember, 375 Ruger is a mid-length (.30-06 length) action modernization of the .375 H&H. Their offering it in 5 calibers, and 3 are Ruger "branded" rounds.

Yea, the Marlin 45-70 1895SBL somehow seems to fit the guide gun concept better for me, with 6 shots vs 3 and I can get them off a lot faster with a lever. Too bad Marlins aren't what they used to be or I'd already own one.

Love the look, not the price! I'm liking the '06 option though!

Needs to be made into a LH version.

I also wish those Marlins were up to snuff. I have wanted one for a long, long time!

As noted in the OP, the 375 Ruger is available LH

Short radius sights...would be better off with a ghost ring/peep setup on the rear of the receiver. Dovetailed front sight would allow the addition of any setup the user wanted.

Muzzle break is unnecessary, glad it can be removed.

Barrel band is unnecessary. There is a stud in the front of the stock.

The stock is growing on me, but I still don't like it that much. Wish it didn't have the orange, just black, grey, and green contrasts would be much nicer.

Price is obscene.

I agree the price is high, But I do like the 30-06 idea in a gun with back up iron sites and a scope mount location. I love my lever guns also but you cant put a pointed 30-06 round into a lever gun mag tube. I even like the stock/SS setup.

Ruger made a special run of left handed laminate 375 ruger Alaskans last year. No muzzle break, gray laminate, normal looking stock, 20 inch stainless barrel. Gallery of guns still has 30 of them!

Thanks for sharing this info. I've decided a 375 ruger doesn't have a place in my collection at this time, but I'm sure these will find happy homes.

Nothing about this gun speaks to me, & the price is ridiculous. If I had my choice I'd love to find a real "Guide Gun" along the lines of the Henry .45-70. Now that's a beauty!

They had an epic fail right here. Minus the price, the wretched spacers (can be removed), and the muzzle break it would be a pretty nice gun. I like the idea, just no spacers and muzzle break and shave off 200$. I really like the .30-06 though......... The idea of that gun, minus the muzzle break and spacers, and pushing a 200 grain Nosler Partition out a 20" tube..... Gnarly dude.

Can't say the .375 Ruger would bother me either, though may be a wee bit much for me to handle right now. Would have to reload some lite's for it, and work my way up slowly and adjust to the recoil a bit. Then again that recoil pad looks ginormous!

What's the beef with spacers? I wish more guns came with them.
