However, and this is just an Ol'Coot's opinion, if I were looking for a new rifle, I'd sure not look at anything that was not a long time standard.
Reason, Brass availability!!!!
I already read that some of the razzle dazzle, new short mag cartridges are hard to come by.
In most cases, the only advantage to the shorts mags was length of the rifle/action, the "new" cartridges doing little and in many cases nothing better then the old and longer cartridges.
But more important then firearm availability is the availability of the brass and on some of the "short Mags." it is just not very good.
