No, no problems at all with my .308. I use Remington Core-Lokt, 150gr PSP.

Have you inspected the bolt head face? Don't know what would make it not close on a fired case, unless maybe the headspace is so tight that the expanded case is just too long. But in that case, I would think you would also have extraction problems. Just got one of these in 308 which I have not had a chance to shoot yet. Check out my recent post. Watch out for those two loose c-clips on the trigger group! Great features on this gun for the money, though.

i dont have a clue how to check head space, and %75 of the time it ejects fine ,then for no reason the bolt locks up completly and takes great load of effort to open it,then the next shot could be fine again.

The simple way is to just insert a 30-06 class go-gauge (brownells, Midway, etc.). If it is difficult to close the bolt, you may have a "short" chamber. If that is the case, DO NOT FORCE IT CLOSED. Being a "rimless" cartridge, the 270 will headspace on the cartridge shoulder. Usually, production guns have headspace that is just a little long so that they can chamber a variety of ammo. Who knows, yours may be cut so close to specs that the variability you always find in factory ammo may make for a tight fit when the cartridge has been fired and stretched out. This seems likely if this is an off-again on-again kind of occurence. I would just call Ruger customer service and explain carefully what is happening. Don't use the email contact, because they will probably just respond telling you to send in the whole rifle. Hope this helps a little anyway.

I've had no problems with my .308 RAR, but have an issue with a Mossberg 4x4 using my reloads. I was only necksizing and even though all rounds had gone through this particular gun, I would get an occasional binding round. I full length resize now, and don't seem to have the problem. My RAR has only seen reloads.

I don't reload for 308 because you can get the ammo just about anywhere and I have too many hard-to-find calibers that I do load for. Keeping my fingers crossed. I have a Browning BLR 308 that had an overly tight bore - probably was cut after the reamer had been sharpened one too many times. Pressure was outrageous and kicked like a mule - a smith fixed it right up though and now it is a heck of a shooter. This stuff happens to just about every gunmaker once in a while.

I'm currently having some feeding issues due to my mag being loose. The front of the mag drops down about 1/8" causing the round to not line up correctly with the feed ramp. I'm calling Ruger this morning to see what they say. I have not shot the gun yet, so I can't say anything about extraction issues.

Yeah I checked and everything is tight. I haven't shot the gun yet, so it shouldn't have loosened up any though.

Did you want them to send to a gun shop/FFL instead of your house? That's understandable - I did that when I had to send a rifle back to S&W due to a recall. I just knew with my luck the Fed-Ex guy would show up when nobody was home and they wouldn't be allowed to leave it by the door and I would be chasing down my rifle with Fed-Ex! The irony was S&W would have shipped it directly back to me, no FFL needed. But when I asked them to ship it back to the LGS where I bought it (so I could stop by at my convenience to pick it up) they said they would have to have a copy of the LGS's FFL. We both thought that was kinda funny.
When I had Ruger do some work on a revolver I had them just ship it straight to me. They used UPS and I have a pretty good idea when the UPS guy comes around so I was home to sign for it.
Sounds like you're almost there. Hopefully it's fixed and workin' like a charm.
