GSR prices down, availability way up, about time!

For those of you with an eye for the Ruger Gunsite Scout rifle, some good news!
Since introduction, the GSR has been an elusive beast, and when you could find one the prices typically were far over the MSRP, as high as $950 in some cases.
Gunbroker went months with having no more than 5-7 typically for sale, and at exorbitant prices.
Doing my usual scan through Gunbroker today, I saw 50 listed, and the price is finally coming down, with quite a few under the $700 mark. This is still high considering many have been found for around $630, but its a step in the right direction for sure.
If the price and availability turned you off of the GSR earlier, it might be time to start keeping an eye out again.

I am picking up mine tomorrow! The 10-day wait was torture.

Paid $800 at my LGS here in Kalifornia.

Ouch! Well it seems your LGS hasn't gotten the hint that they are available again. Congrats on the new GSR though!

Thanks!

I called every gun shop in SoCal. Most did not have the GSR in stock and a couple had them in $825 - $950 range.

I put 40 rounds through it today and absolutely love it!

They are still rare in west Texas, but I've got my fingers crossed.

Glad for you rifle fans. When I first saw the thread, I thought it said GAS, not GSR. Wishful thinking, I guess.......

I just scored a Southpaw model off of Gunbroker for $695.

My left eye is better anyway. Hopefully, pics will follow tonight.

Hopefully in a few more calibers...if they would put the scout rail and irons on that 20" .375 Ruger Hawkeye I'd finally have my own perfect Alaskan scout rifle.
