My son got his for $769 and I paid $789 this week. They were the only two we could find in central IL. Both were RH.

I'm a lefty and have looked all over for a lefty, but have always gotten on site right after they sold it. I'll get one sooner or later, but at least I've got this RH to enjoy.

I've been pretty impressed with the "out of the box" performence. Aside from being a bit gravely feeling when sliding the bolt in and out, I've been pleased. 150 rounds through it so far and it's getting a little smoother. It's got a long way to go untill it's as smooth as my Savage 12VSS (that has over 1500 rounds through), but will get there. Nice trigger.

I don't have one, but would like to get one. I did some checking around here and the price I was quoted was about 1,100.00.

$1,100! Well, I guess it makes sense considering the price has been so high even before Ruger announced they were no longer taking new orders. Retailers have been gouging since the start on the GSR, and now have an even better excuse to do so, still, charging more than MSRP (which is WAY over the distrubutors price of $562.00) is just capitalism gone crazy IMO.

Take note though, Gander Mountain has had these in stock, at $899.00
They had a "sale" on them last month for $850, which is still way too high IMO, but considering new ones probably wont come from the factory for what I am guessing will be another 6 months, it may be the only way to get one at a local retailer.

Gunbroker still has a few listed, but I have been watching them daily for the last year on the GSR, and most are going for $800-850 on BID, and no lower than $825 on buyout. By the time you pay shipping and FFL fees, you are going to pay more than the $899 from Gander Mountain.

Looks like there are places with real good prices. I am envious. I bought mine today for $799.00. Cabelas quoted me $839.00 if they could get one and he said he doubted it.

RGSR Price

Well just got mine up here in Alaska but had to pay the Alaska premium price to get it. $845.00
I was told that Ruger is back logged on orders and it will be some time before any new orders will be taken.

I like the rifle but had to send it back to Ruger because in my book the stock was not up to standards. Barrel wasnt centered in the stock, and the transition from the stock to the spacers/recoil pad wasn't flush.
Not to my standards or to Ruger standards from the past.
They were very plesant to deal with and sent a UPS shipping order so I could ship it back to them. We will see how the end product is when I get it back.

Don't get me wrong, I think Ruger is a good manufacture, just got in a hurry on the stock.
Have a great day.

So far I have shot 80 rounds through mine. I really like it but find the bold it a bit rought at times. It seems to be smoothing out with use already however.

I was just in Eugene/Springfield in January and again in February as we have a home in Central Oregon. We stopped into the new Cabellas store there.

$825 for mine from GB as a Buy-it-now, but it was within 50 bucks of this at the time, and I HAD TO HAVE ONE!

Gunbroker currently has one listed at the lowest buyout price I have seen yet, and I have been checking daily since the gun was released.

$750, and the seller is including two steel 5rd factory steel mags if you use the Buy now option. That is a steal at the moment, all things considered. Here is the link:
