M77/MKII "boat paddle" stock question?

Will the newer style M77/MKII stock my rifle?
How about the Hawkeye stock?
Mine is in 7mm Mag. is that considered a Long Action?
Any idea on where to find a new style stock in black synthetic?
Do I order a Long Action stock for the 7mm Mag or is it different than say the 30-06 stock?

I just don't like the sling mounts on the "boat paddle" stock
and a little extra padding would help the recoil.
In "boat paddle" I am referring to the older thin stock with the name "Ruger" molded in the stock.

My M77/MKII in .270 has the new style stock and I LOVE it.
That stock would be great on the 7mm Mag if it would fit.

Thanks for any help.

All Rugers POST tang safeties are the same gun/stock.
Yes, 7mm is a long action.
If you are asking about a "new style" take-off, try the boards, or ebay. I have one, but it is a short action version. Otherwise for aftermarket, the usual suspects(midway, brownells, etc).
All long actions are the same, all short actions are the same.

TN, I would love to buy that stock from you if you are considering selling it.

I am looking of one to put on a utility/truck gun.

PM me if interested.

Thanks,

Matt
