Picked up a New American .450 BM today

I just picked up a American today! Pretty excited... mainly a meat gun and in a couple years my son can use it. Hopfully I will have my Ruger #1!!
Need to work on the stock fit a little bit, maybe camo it out while its off.
Any thing else to help performance or looks?? I am open for suggestions.

you HAVE to give us a range report on that beast! Many of us are intrigued with the .450 Bushmaster round!

alps picked up one over the weekend. But I haven't found any factory ammo for it so am going to have to roll my own. Hopefully I can try it out on Saturday.

I still need to put some glass on it, So range report might be a little bit!
Michigan ok the use of straight walled cartridge guns in the southern part. So this gun/ caliber has been hot for a year plus. A local gun shop paired up with Ruger and sold a boat load of them last year. Guys where reporting it just crushed deer!!

I have one ordered and am waiting for it and 3 boxes of Hornady ammo to be delivered to my LGS. Going to mount a 1-4X compact scope to try out on it. My home range is only 125 yds, so it will have to do until I can get to my hunting lease so I can go out to 300.
I am in Southwest Arkansas, so I will be able to try it out on some pork.

I will be interested in your review of the 450 BM I have a Ruger scout ordered in 450 BM just waiting for the slow delivery boat to here to arrive.
I converted a .308 Scout to 458 Socom last year am curious to see how 450 BM is hunting/performance wise compared with it .

Burris 2x7 35mm on the way. With Burris rings and all the goodies to mount it and go with it. I will get it mounted up and get out shooting if this "work thing" didn't keep getting in the way!

LGS had 3 of the 450's....now they have two.....bought a Vortex red dot and got a good zero at there indoor range....recoil is very light, more jump than push, bolt was very snug to close on rounds....trigger was good, but I will lighten it up some once I get to the outdoor range....I have a M-223 Nikon 3x12 I will probably put on it to actually check accuracy and use the red dot for the woods...now I need dies, bullets and powder....

Congrats on the 450Bm purchase.. We are waiting patiently for the shipment to arrive down here still..
Factory ammo appears to be a bit of a problem down here as well. The importer of Ruger here is the Federal ammo importer as well but Hornady seems to be the only factory ammo available here in Australia and its not that easy to find.
Between the two of them they have seemed to drop the ball. Hopefully Hornady has a "light bulb" moment and realises there is a market here now for 450Bm ammo.
Will be lots of people here wanting the Ruger American and the Scout in 450 Bm but cant or don't want to go down the reloading path.
I managed to get a set of 450Bm dies just by a lucky phone call to an interstate gun shop.
