If anyone is interested Bud's has the GSR in 450BM in stock and Kentucky Gun Co has the #1 450BM in stock. I looked at both of them last night. You're welcome.

I do believe drt4lfe is 100 % on the money with reloading being the place to get the best out of 450Bm.. There is a mountain of reload data available for the round as a starting point. I think it wont matter if you hunt or punch holes in paper there will be a favourite reload that works for you.

I have been thinking AGAIN about the 450BM, I chose to go with the 458SOCOM since I already shoot 45-70's and I can use standard military mags and AR15 lowers (just need an upper for 458SOCOM).....but now that I have a 460S&W I have .452 bullets hanging around....are you guys aloud to use a Semi-auto to hunt? Or strictly bolt and/or lever action?
Here is my 458SOCOM I use for hog hunting!
Mine is topped with a Leupold VXR 1-4x20 with firedot...you can ignore the PSL next to it!

I like 458 Socom a lot we aren't allowed without great mountains of red tape and bureaucratic drama to have semi autos down here so I converted a Ruger scout to 458 Socom. The range of projectiles for reloading is extremely good and it hits deer like a sledge hammer..I ordered a 450 Bm scout to give it a try and to add to my collection of scout rifles. Most people down here hunt with either bolt action, lever action or pump action rifles..

Let us know if you experience any copper fouling issues, outside of the norm....I know of some individuals on another side who said it was awful. They didn't state if they were shooting factory ammo or their own reloads.

Kind a curious as to see how it turns out for ya.
