It looks pretty cool. I wonder why Ruger decided to go with the 450 next.

Likely an interpretation of Col. Cooper's "Thumper"

Howdy,
I had a .450 Bushy upper for an AR awhile back.... Recoil medium, should be mild with that rubber butt pad...
Darn good round, lots of "thump" ....
Look on U-Tube for some info....
If I had the extra money laying around, I'd get one....

Paul

Read where it is comparable with the recoil of a .410 shotgun in the American rifle version. Not bad considering the ballistics.

Nice looking rifle. Make it in stainless with a black laminate stock and I would be tempted to add it to my GSR in 308. This one looks pretty nice I have to admit.

Any gun chambered in a caliber that begins with '4' has me interested. I'll probably get one if for no other reason than it's different than anything else out there. I've always liked unique stuff.

Yes, I'm drawn to eccentric things, too - so scout rifle in an odd, but useful round seems just right. A nice partner for my 45-70 single shot.

It has a ten round clip in the Shoot Straight stores here in Tampa. 4 round capacity. . . weird or is that some Diane Feinstein law for Snowflake, California?

*MAGAZINE* The Ruger Scout in 450 Bushmaster probably has a four round magazine because that's the one that functioned the best during trials. If they could equip them with a reliable ten rounder they would.

That thing looks "Wicked Bad". Don't know what I'd use it for, but I'd sure like to have it!
