That is one good looking rifle.

6.6lbs with a wood stock must be due to less weight in that big bore barrel.

I can't wait to read a review on it and the cartridge it fires.

I think this just took over the next purchase spot for me and bumped out a marlin guide gun 45-70 for a while

Hi all I put a deposit down on one yesterday I already have a couple of .308 scouts and recently converted one to .458 socom so am looking forward to getting the .450..
Interesting that the factory went to 4 round mags I had heaps of trouble getting the original 10 round .308 to feed and run the .458 Socom but got there in the end. I made the parts to sort it from a donor .223 mag and a new follower.. But now Is a Primal rights kit you can buy that has a new spring and follower for the scout ACIS steel magazines that sorts the 10 round out so you can get 7 or 8 rounds in them.

I'm looking forward to your report once you get it and try it out.

Quite the concept based on a .284 Win.case, looks like a interesting medium power large caliber ctg.

I am beginning to like these, a lot, but I think I would use the 308 more than anything else.
