She's Here!!

Kudos to CDNN! Ordered my LH All Weather Compact .308 model 6940 on Saturday evening 03.18.16 for $398 shipped with an extra mag. Shipped Monday afternoon. FedEx delivered it to my LGS this morning! I ran over and picked her up and eased back to the house. Cleaned her up and put my old (Denver) Redfield Gunsight 3x9x40 single-post scope on her. Won't be able to shoot til I get time to head to the "local" range an hour away. But just a short update. Nothing stands out as overtly wrong. The synthetic stock is close at the tips, but shortly I will be shaving the tips back. All screws were tight. No overt grease piled up. The magazine had the metal follower and I got an extra from CDNN for $28. I took some old .308 Hornady Custom 150 PSP and loaded a full 4 rounds into each mag and dumped them 10 times, no issues with slow or lazy popups. I cycled the bolt 50-75 times then inserted the mags in turn and dumped the rounds. So far so good!! I hope to find somewhere closer to shoot. But either way I want to get everything locked down and zeroed before the full Georgia summer kicks in. Will be looking at some of the loads listed here for the short barrel. And will update when range is complete. Glad to be here!!
