ATTENTION American Owners!

There has been a thread started in the Magpul Section of Arfcom, asking them to make a stock for the American series. Hit the thread and voice your support! Also doesn't hurt to blow up their facebook page, and send emails about it. If we can show them there is a market for it, they just might make it!

And for those American owners that have looked, you know our options on stocks are somewhat "limited" at the moment, and the Magpul stocks for the 10/22 and Remington 700's are getting some pretty stellar reviews and feedback, so I think it would be a great option, and potentially give us more magazine options as well!

I e-mailed Magpul and they said they were always considering new products but didn't indicate that they were actually considering this. I wonder if it would require some sort of modification to the American Rifle bottom end or if they could produce a Mag that would fit an unaltered Rifle?

Owly will become famous soon enough
I always just figured Ruger had the v-block bedding system patented and that was why nobody produced aftermarket stocks for the American series of rifles. Otherwise it doesn't make sense. With the abundance of rifles in consumers hands, you'd assume aftermarket companies would be tripping over themselves to cash in on an upgrade seemingly everybody is seeking.

Boyd's makes a stock for the Ruger American Predator. But I reached out to Mag-pul about 8 months ago, and they said they were not doing anything for the RAP at this time. It would be nice if that changed.

I emailed them and got back their typical "we do not release any information on products that may or may not be in development".

So not an all out no at least.. lol

Modular Driven Technologies makes the LSS chassis system for the American for $299. Allows you to use almost any AR stock and pistol grip, as well as PMags.

I'm aware of the MDT option, but personally I don't like the feel of chassis systems on bolt guns. If I wanted a gun to feel like an AR, is juts get an AR. Plus, IIRC, the MDT doesn't com with the buffer tube, stock or grip, so there's an extra $100 to spend on it before you can use it. You can find the current Remington 700 Magpul stocks on sale under $300/shipped most days.
