Ruger Hawkeye M77 All Weather

Hi I'm new here and have looked all over for specs on this rifle but since I believe they are discontinued I can't find any info. Its in 338 Win and I was wonder what it weighed and what material the stock is made from, injection plastic or fiber carbon/glass and if the recoil pad is glued or screwed on if I want to replace it.
I plan on using it next fall for Elk and want to get familiar with it between now and then.

Thanks for the link. I also have a 1980's tang safety I bought new in 30-06 that has been my go to gun for just about everything for big game hunting.
I was surprised to see that it weighs 7.75lbs dry and was expecting 6.5lbs with the synthetic stock but that's a good thing because of the caliber and should be around 8.5 scoped and loaded I'm thinking

M77 stock bedding

Has anyone found a need to bed one of these stocks or do the rifles with the factory poly stock shoot good out of the box?
Here's some pictures with it scoped and read for action.

Those are very nice rifles. More horsepower than I need. I am assuming it will be a hunting rifle. I suspect it'll be hunting accurate with a little ammo experimenting or load development. It may even be surprisingly accurate. Shoot it as it is and see how it works out. Did you get it at CDNN?

Definitely shoot it before making changes.

I got it off Gun Broker. I was told the recoil pads are not great so I do plan on replacing it with a Pachmyer decelerator.

I sighted it in today with a get me on paper load and was surprised at how well it shot.
Total of 8 shots fired from 25-100yds on same target.
The scope was adjusted several times some wrong some right such is human error.

After sighting in I loaded some 210gr Nosler Partitions and this was the best of the lot at 100yds.
