Any lefties here?

I want the American predator in the 6.5 creedmoor, but it only comes right handed and it seems that every model I would like only comes right handed, especially in the 6.5 creedmoor.

My son's a south paw. Got him the RAR stainless in .30-06 and it was just what he needed for hunting. You're not the first lefty to comment on the lack of LH RAR's in the compact/predator variety though. It looks like the only left handed bolt action rifle they have in 6.5 is the hawkeye. Manufacturers are getting better than they used to be with lefties, but I still have to be selective when looking for a rifle for him. I got lucky on the RAR stainless. I jumped on it soon as it came out.

There may be a few lefties, progressives, or socialists here. But mostly they keep in the shadows.

I'm left handed (but definitely not a lefty). I just buy right handed bolt action rifles. It would seem strange to have the bolt handle on the left side.

Iam far right and right handed, I just shoot left handed, always have, even before I knew I was left eye dominant. I want the predator after all the reviews about how great it is, I have shot right handed rifle left hand my whole life, never owned a left hand rifle mostly lever actions.

Same here. Savage 110. I still have to pull the gun off my shoulder to reload a fresh round so it may as well be a single shot... But my dad got it for me and I never need a second shot

I am left-handed and left eye dominant.
Ruger LCR and Glock 42.
Revolvers are easy for lefties.
The Glock easily adapted for me

I sent an email to the CEO asking why they haven't released a predator model in left hand. They stopped production of the blued steel and Walnut stocks model 77s and what they have is very limited.
Growing up I have always shot right handed rifles and was accustomed to doing so. Then one day another lefty at the range let me shoot his rifle and that was all it took. I started buying left handed rifles now and selling off some of the right handed ones.
It's much easier for me now to throw the bolt and the wood Monte Carlo stocks actually fit correctly.

I was right handed and right eye dominant my entire life , then I lost the sight in my right eye. Now I shoot all my long guns left handed so I can sight with my left eye.
It's not a problem , go shooting and adapt how you operate the gun.
I can now shoot right handed bolt actions , semi-auto's , pumps , straight pull's, rolling blocks lever actions and single shot break actions just as well left handed as I did right handed.
Take what you have , go to the range and adapt, find a way and make it work for you .

Southpaw here.

SA revolvers are natural for me.

I've got two left handed bolt actions and three right handed.

The only firearm I've got issues with is my Colt 1911: due to the position of the thumb safety. I've been practicing with it right handed, but can't hit the side of a barn due to left eye dominance.

I'm right handed and left eye dominant. I've always shot right handed bolt rifles lefty with no problems. I bought a left handed bolt action Rem. .22 many years ago and it was just too awkward for me to get used to. It was soon traded towards some archery gear.

I've been a left handed shooter all my life. Left eye dominate and just buy right handed rifles. I'm so used to shooting a right handed rifle I couldn't even imagine getting used to a left handed rifle.

I am right handed but have a right artificial eye. I can shoot left-handed but it feels awkward. I had always shot right-handed. I can shoot right-handed using my left eye by canting the gun about 25 degrees to the left and it is much more comfortable for me. My question is: does having the gun out of a vertical plane effect accuracy in any way?? I know the cross-hairs on the scope will not be vertical & horizontal but seems to me as long as you center on the target it should not matter.

I shoot rifles and shotguns left handed, handguns and bows right handed. I've never shot a left handed bolt action. I only own right handed bolts, #1's,semi-auto, and lever 30-30's for rifles.
