I see Ruger is now making the M77 Hawkeye Compact in 7.62 x 39. I wander about the availabilty of these neat little rifles? Is anyone stocking them yet? Ruger seems to be behind in keeping up with orders of all guns due to high demand.

Haven't heard that, I'm interested. I don't care much for the POS AK but I do like the cartridge. They made the 77 stainless/synthetic a dozen or so years ago in that chambering {.308 not .311} Missed it then, maybe I'll get lucky this time.

I am also very interested in one of them, but none of the shops around me have one, and they all say they are having trouble getting ruger stuff. the only hawkeye compacts i can find are in .308 or 7mm.

I have three of the 77MKIIs. A stainless Light Rifle with 20" barrel and boat paddle stock, standard All-Weather 22" rifle and the same but the stock was replaced with a nice walnut one. All are very very accurate... This was the first three shots I took from the Light Rifle after it arrived..it was used...



Lapua ammo...doesn't get any better than this...




A friend would buy one of these new Compact Rifles in a heart beat but they are listed as blue/walnut...he wants a stainless/laminated... For that matter if they have them in stainless I'll buy one...
