Why not a LH American Rimfire?

I have been looking for a left-handed .22 bolt gun for awhile. Just something to target practice, plink with. I have several Ruger's and enjoy shooting them all. What I really wanted was an American Rimfire .22. It has the composite stock, flush fitted magazine, great trigger, light weight. Why can't or wont Ruger make these in left hand? They don't even make their 77/22 in left hand. There's no doubt they sell many of the American Rimfires, one would think they would make a bolt .22 to accommodate us lefties.

Darn straight pal. I Don't know how many of the Ruger American rimfires have been sold since their introduction but I am sure it's plenty so far. Bet they will continue to be hot sellers with the price being reasonable. A lefty version should be in the works. Hey they will sell. Bought my compact in 22 mag and love it for the handiness and non flimsy construction. Hope you land one eventually.

I too am a lefty, I have shot since I was 7 years old (58 years), I have never owned a left handed weapon. I worked in manufacturing (marketing) for my entire career. It is an issue of balancing economics. Lefties are about 10% of the general population. The percentage of left handed people who shoot could be higher or lower than that. for most companies, to make a decision to manufacture something for a 10% market share for the most part would be turned down by the marketing department. Ultimately, there are share holders to answer to and no board wants to go there. sounds awful but there is the simple truth.
