Bore Guide for M77/17?

I'm looking for a quality bore guide that will fit and work well with my new M77/17 (.17 Hornet) and I'm having trouble finding one. I keep running across reviews that say a particular guide didn't fit some guy's (or gal's) rifle, in the .17 Hornet. So, I figured, "what better place to ask?" Any suggestions??

Sure hoping someone on here has a M77/17 that they've found a great guide for!

Wow, nobody knew where to find them out of 75 people that viewed this thread so far? That's surprising. Obviously there are others interested in getting a cleaning rod bore guide that's specifically made for this rifle. Well, good news! I heard back from Neil Jones and he's willing to make one for me, and anyone else that wants one. He charges $48 plus S&H and builds them specifically for your rifle and the rod you are using.

I've been using Lucas guides for my long range rifles for many years but he Mike doesn't make one for this rifle/cartridge combo. So, Neil Jones may be getting all my future business as he's willing to MAKE one just for me.

Maybe it's overkill for this little cartridge but there's no way I would clean one of my 6mm, 6.5 CM, .308. or .300WM's without a perfectly fit guide to protect my delicate throats from damage and to insure that solvents don't get back into my actions. So, I might as well invest a little into showing this rifle the same love - hopefully it'll love me back. Lol!

Anyway, for someone that's interested, here's a link to the only place I could find to get a cleaning rod bore guide specifically made for a Ruger M77/17 in .17 Hornet: www.neiljones.com/html/guides.html

I use a bore snake on by .17. If used regularly, it seems to do a pretty good job. I hate to clean anything less than .22 cal.
