Got a wood stock for my Takedown

Hey all-

I recently got a wood stock for my 10/22 Takedown off of EBAY, and am very pleased with it. It fit perfectly and looks great. Like it much better than the plastic stock.

See my photobucket link to check it out:

Nice looking TD. I like the wood stocks on long guns. Might have to convert mine over to wood. How much it cost?

Wow a couple weeks ago they were selling for $130 or less. Now they are up to $200. I better get in my shop and start cranking them out. I'm gonna be rich!!!

If you highlight the "IMG" tag, copy it, you can paste the photo directly into your post, just like 303 has done for you.

I think that I paid 200.00, but to be honest I'm not sure. It was awhile back, may have been less. It is a Ruger Birch stock I think, that the guy copied the polymer from. It was done on a duplicator.
I also put in the modified bolt release on it, big difference and I highly recommend it.
Thanks for the tip, James6591, on putting the pic in the post. I was wondering how to do that!

Ruger is starting to sell the TD with a wood stock now. Go to their website and look under exclusive.

I saw one in the store a few weeks ago. The case is brown instead of black also.

Very nice rifle I kinda wish my stock was some kind of wood as I think the stainless looks much better against wood as opposed to black synthetic
