I have been up and down looking to find one of these. The best I can do at the moment is put a deposit on one at my local Turner's Outdoorsman. I had a very sour experience with Gander Mountain over paying in full for one that was in stock to which they later sold to another customer.

As such, if you have any leads on this rifle, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it!

Being from California may be a problem. I wanted one badly also. You may be a while from the dealers I have talked to in MS. Hard to find. I really liked the threaded barrel & all. But when I checked out the stainless version that was also the same weight and only .25" longer, I went with that.
Not trying to talk you out of what you want but get the person's name you talked to about putting ordering one. It has always helped me. They only had one stainless in the back unopened when I called and I couldn't get there before closing time. Guy agreed to hold it 24 hours which he did. Asked for him by name and he was very helpful.
Good luck, they are great rifles, even the wife liked it.
