Another AGP stock on Takedown

AGP folding stock
UTG rail
2-7 scope, etc
Note, with a bit of sanding the barrel is free floating with the rail attached at the front and back. (Cut the UTG rail.)

I like this build, but I'm guessing it doesn't fit in the pocket of the bag with the folding stock?

Everything fits, just leave stock unfolded.

Has anyone else free floated the Takedown model? Before after results? I did not shoot mine before the mod, I just seemed like the right thing to do. I had free floated my old 10/22 a decade ago, and it helped.

Have you weighed your 10/22 after the mods?

No, but I was very surprised at how light the utg rail was. AGP is probably lighter than stock stock. Those scope rings are heavy though, full steel.

Can you shoot the gun with the stock folded? It looks like the stock blocks the trigger...

Yes. I wish the stock folded to the other side, though it does keep the other side completely flat.

It fires just fine folded. Plenty of room for trigger finger between stock. No issue on shell ejection clearing in folded position.

Not so much, time or effort. It was just a couple of hours in the shop. It helps to have a good set of tools for that type of project.

takedown release

How did you mill out the takedown release lever area? I want to do a mod on Hogue overmolded stock for a takedown, but the are where the takedown release lever is located has been the reason I haven't started the project. I don't want to make a mess of the project.
