| 10/22 receiver
I have my first 10/22 carbine, at least 25+ years old, [I have a 10/22T now],but the receiver is broken, and I want to get it running again, after all these years I might need some other small parts too.[just looked in box, charging handle, sights] I know Ruger doesn't sell them and I don't want/need a expensive aftermarket one.Looking for someone here that has upgraded or has one laying around they don't need. It doesn't have to be in "mint" condition. If anyone has one or can get me a lead on one would be great........Thanks.......................I tried posting this in the classified section, I guess I'm to new to post there...........

you might be able to find one through midway, or even ebay...? worth a look, anyway.

Oh yeah, BTW Welcome to the forum! |

1st recommendation would be to call Ruger and see if it can be repaired may cost a little bit but I wouldn't go buy that receiver from Midway IF you are just looking for a basic receiver. Worse comes to worse by the cheapest carbine and if you like your stock swap that out...and if you like your trigger group just put that in the new receiver and keep the new trigger group for spare parts.

Exactly what is "broken"? As for finding a new one... Any found non-local will require shipping and transfer fees making it close to the same as a complete used 10/22.

I would also like to mention visit your LGS and if they have a gunsmith on sight they can help you as well. Like I said worse comes to worse buy the cheapest 10/22 and use that.

I have an oem cocking assembly with springs, and some misc internals like trigger, sear, bolt hold, etc...
Also, you can get a new oem receiver from Shooters Discount for $105 + shipping, but as the others said you aren't far off from just getting another 10/22 at that price.
KIDD carries a Ruger OEM cocking assembly for $10.00 as well if interested.
In any case, I have some left over parts if interested just PM me.

Tactical Innovations makes one also...with a unique charging handle...no idea if it is a good one or not...I have their plastic TI-25 with steel lips and IMO it is way better than any of the others including the BX-25...also got their sharp-claw extractor and extremely impressed with it too...no reason to think their receiver would be any different but I wouldn't know... 10/22 - Tactical Innovations Inc. - Idaho Official Website - Guns, |

I had an old 10/22 with a 120 S/N prefix that was cracked and after I shipped the receiver only to Ruger and they replaced it with a complete rifle. Great service and they back their products.
