I have a 10-22 carbine that I bought about 20 yrs. ago used. It has been a safe queen all this time. I recently bought a Charger and did some mods to it and I am having so much fun with it that I want to start on the queen.
I have already decided to have the bolt and trigger assembly worked on. That leaves me with the following questions:
How much difference is there between the factory barrel and say a bull barrel of the same length?
Is it worth the $$ ? I'm not shooting competition, just paper at 50 and 100 yds.
Once I have decided on the barrel issue, what about the stock.
Changing to a bull barrel will necessitate a new stock. If I go that way, I'd probably go with a Boyd's stock. That brings me to the last question.
The SS Evolution looks as if only an inch or two touch the barrel. If I buy an SS Evolution, can I still use the factory barrel, and should I decide to go to a bull barrel later, will it work there also.
