Looking for my 2nd 10/22.

So Im heading off to a gun show on Sunday in search of one thing. A decent used plain jane 10/22. Id like to find an older model with the metal trigger group. Not really picky on the exact model just want iron sights for sure. Ive got about 200 in fun money to burn. Think Ill have any luck? I know the pricing on all the newer stuff, but no real knowledge in the older stuff. Any ideas on what I should look for? More than likely Ill end up just looking for a nice older Carbine. Thanks in advance.

Should be able to find some basic carbine there I'd hope. At a show, you're likely to see a bit higher price but even then I'd expect used in the $175-200 range and new $35-50 higher.

Not set on buying in all honesty. Just ready to act should a deal show its face. Really looking for an all metal older style.

303lithgow will become famous soon enough
$200 would be the tops I'd pay. A good deal would be closer to $150 for a plain jane all metal.

Thats the range Im really looking for. Saw a decent all metal Carbine today for 200. Couldnt bring myself to pay that so I walked. Im going to be patient here. Either wait for soemthing pretty nice or a good deal.

On the other hand I saw a Ruger 44mag carbine Id kill for. Just not in the cards at the time.

Whats the 44mag carbines going for? Just wonder I think they are really cool.

Depends on which one (there were a few variations) and of course condition. They're fairly plentiful up here so the whole supply and demand isn't a major pricing factor. Typically I'll see them in the $375-$450 range for the standard model.

The guy was asking 500. But its not the first time Ive seen that same gun at a show with the same guy. Visibly it looked very nice but couldnt speak for it mechanicly. Id be willing to bet he'd go down to atleast 450.

As far as variation, not sure. Ill do some research and see if I can place it.

Looked exactly like this with a slightly darker stock I believe. Tubular fed magazine and all that jazz.
