I am very happy with my ATI strikeforce stock,I added a williams peep sight but you can still use the original 10/22 iron sight with the ATI stock and it comes with the angled drop tube but its just not as comfortable as with the peep sight since the peep is a bit higher and has the fibre optics.The stock is reasonably priced too and it is easy to switch back to the original if you decide to.

Is that a laser under the barrel?

Anyways here is my ATI at the moment.

Ruger 1022 Compact as a base.
-ATI Strikeforce Stock/Cheek Rest
-UTG Quad Rail/Rail Covers(Will replace rail covers with Magpul, the dremmel work it took to make it fit disfigured the original stock front end, there was no going back, one 2 inch rail remains from the original stock under it. The grip takes this space up)
-Genuine Magpul BUIS
-Command Arms Stubby Vertical Grip
-Promag Swivel/Bipod Mount
-Archangel Bolt Mod/Magazine Release/Flash Hider(From my Nomad Kit)
-BSA Red Dot (It's held up fine so far though the paint finish is kind of fragile. It is a place holder for a better red dot atm.)
UTG Midlength Riser (not included in picture, just got it today. Gives me a 1/3 cowitness.)

Sucks how much I had to dremmel, basically without the Quad Rail there is no going back to the original ATI stock. But I think it's worth it IMO, added a lb of weight and I have so much rail space top side.

Looks like you use the archangel mags too? I've heard bad things but mine have been reliable so far. I either have this set up or an Archangel nomad. So as far as "Tacticool" goes I'm set. but really it's just my plinker, and the folding stocks let my rifle fit in the safe with my hand guns. Otherwise I would have got the normal archangel kit.

thats crap. there is nothing wrong with "Tacticool" if you have the money to accessorize your gun in any way shape or form then its your god given american right to do so. its all in your personality. i think the archangel stock is great. the 10/22 has so many after market items to put on it its crazy. just do what you want. if you want the tacticool look then go right on ahead. life is too short to be worried about the other people HATING on you for having something they probably want but are too scared to do because of what other people will or might say.

That looks good and yes i mounted a barrel mounted laser mostly just for fun,wont use it much and i havnt had these archangel mags long but so far i have had good luck with them,I have the generation 2 ones with both pins metal but i can tell you having the archangel magazine loader helps alot for loading these 25 rounders after about the 15th round.

Oh I see, getting the rounds in isn't too bad. I think I kept them loaded for a few days, then unloaded and everything loads and feeds fine now. My only complaint is the plastic feed lips but I hear archangel will gladly send replacement parts for them.

Yeah the feed lips can be changed easily which is a nice feature and since they guarantee these for life apparently shouldnt be a problem but i cant really see a problem because these are made from some really tough polymer type plastic.

Some people get all worked up and offended easily dont they? I never suggested somebody shouldn't spend their money the way they want, and only offered an alternative, because the OP's intended result was going to be something that already existed in the Ruger catalog. I am surely not a "hater", and I am scared of nothing but burning to death, and well, spiders! (they just freak me the hell out!)

Hey.

New to these forums but I have been on Rimfirecentral for awhile. Anyway I recently just finished a Boyds Tacticool build. Just waiting on the trigger to come back from Brimstones today or tomorrow (9/1). I put a picture below of the build minus the trigger obviously. The stock is great, has good weight being solid wood feels great too. Barrel is floated. Just need to get to the range..

not offended at all!!! all i am saying i hate people talking about how "Tacticool" is stupid and is useless. we only live once. if you like something buy it, enjoy yourself! customize whatever you want to customize. (i too am afraid of spiders!!!)

If I lived somewhere that had scorpion and tarantula problems a 22 rifle might be fun for out door pest control. (Assuming you had the land for it.)
