My 10/22 Plinker

I've owned several 10/22's over the years but this is the first one in about 20 years. Decided to build a plinkster that would be fun to shoot. Here's a list of what's in it so far(the descriptions are links):

Keystone Sporting Arms Revolution Extreme 10/22 Thumbhole Stock
Power Custom Hammer and Sear
Tactical Solutions Threaded Matte Black Barrel .920
Nikon Prostaff Rimfire Rifle Scope 3-9x 40mm BDC 150 Reticle Matte

Got a few more parts on order: bipod, comp, bolt buffer. Hope yall like it!

Pretty good! The Power Custom hammer and sear really helped reduce my groups. I'm getting cloverleaf groupings at 50 yards with only a few fliers, but that's more likely the shooter than the rifle, LoL. The Nikon scope has great clarity and I really like their BDC reticule!

Do you think a comp is really needed on a 22?

CCI Mini-Mag HV 40grn copper plated have given me the best results. I have a few bricks of Federal and Winchester M22. Those always have a few fliers in the bunch.

Overkill, but wanting to have something that can trim the hairs on a frog's butt. LoL I use a Levang Linear comp on my 26" Kreiger SPR with great results. Figured one on a .22 couldn't hurt.

I love those minis but most often shoot the federal bulk.

It's the "Woodland Camo" version. They have several different color schemes.

Personally, I think the ammo is you problem. A compensator may not hurt but I think you'd get more improvement using a 'target' ammo. At lest try a couple of boxes of CCI Green Tag ...then you may want to step up to Eley Tenex.
