Sorry, I addressed my reply to Blkhawk73 when I intended it as a reply to your original post. Still think the LVT meets alot of your criteria, although many will agree with Blkhawk73 that the Target trigger is not a great one, although I find it noticably lighter than the regular 10/22 trigger

the quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

My take on this:

No need for the longer barrel.

The barrel band grows on you. I didn't care for it at first but now I like it.

I thought I wanted the walnut stock at first, but when I see them in person they don't look all that impressive to me.

My birch stock looks 100% better than when I first bought it. I wipe it down with a rag after shooting it. I put a little Ballistol on the rag. My stock now shines more and has a beautiful grained finish.

You could buy the SS model and put a birch stock on it. With a silver scope and barrel band you will have a beautiful rifle.

I have a Lipsey's 22" SS model, NIB, waiting to ship until my MO gets there. For the FFL arrangements made on this end. Picked it up on gunbroker for $282.xx plus $25 shipping.

Plenty of used 10/22s out there with the options you want. Could probably pick up one of each at a fair price and not have to mess with changing stocks and so on. Heck, we have three 10/22s and wouldn't mind having a couple of more.
