Spec? As far as...?

It's still something that warrants something different. Even the "2-stage" aspect leaves a LOT to be desired. Heck, most I've come across don't even understand 2-stage triggers.

What is the trigger pull listed at in pounds or ounces? I know its not an after market trigger ,I was looking to purchase one of those target rifles.I would like it to be lighter than 4-6lbs. I have an older 10/22 now ,standard model ,and I read its trigger pull is 4-6lbs
Thanks

Straight from the Ruger Manual:

10/22T Models have a target trigger that has been carefully set at the factory to a
minimum safe weight of pull for precision target shooting. Do not alter any factory
setting! You can create an unsafe condition and the rifle may fire unexpectedly.

They do not say what the setting is and since I do not have one I can't use my trigger gauge but someone out there surely knows. Most of the trigger upgrades state they are 2.5 pounds. Factory is probably in the 6-8 pound range.

I'm one of those. What's the deal on a two stage trigger?

A 2 stage trigger ,lets say ,takes a 4 lb trigger ,the first pull say is 3.5lbs and sets the second "stage" or pull at 1/2 lb for a crisp pull . Usually requires some getting used to.

Thanks Frank.
Does it click or let you know you've reached the "first stage"? I recently got a S&W 19-5 with a supposedly target trigger, hammer, and guts? It goes off way different than my model 10-7, I almost shoot twice when I pull the trigger DA, hard to describe, a little effort to pull and then it just goes off like the touch of a fly? Thoughts?
Tony
PS S/A you just barely touch the trigger and it goes boom?

Think of it as desired pre-travel. Takes getting used to.

The Target trigger is an improvement over the 6-8 lb regular trigger. The Gunblast review of three Target trigger equipped LVT models measured just under to just over 4lb in the three LVTs. Just under 4lb is what most Target owners seem to find. Some are happy with that, but many serious shooters are looking for something better. There is some slack before you feel resistance, so this is what Ruger is considering a two stage trigger.

Sign up to photobucket.com. You can upload pic to it and then when you mouse over the picture you uploaded it will give you a list of choices, then mouse over the bottom option and click, it will say "copied". open up the reply, click once with the mouse and hit CTRL-V (paste), it will paste the code to put it in the reply when you are finished. Looks weird when you do it but it works. you are very close, you just need a place to get the image from (photobucket) it's free too. I start the reply, open photobucket then do the mouse over and paste. It takes a little practice but you can do it. if it doesn't look right just go to edit and you can erase what you did and not have to keep posting. Now! Where's the pic of that fancy rifle?? ; )
Good Luck,
Tony
