Don't know why it took Ruger so long to put out a higher capacity mag for the 10/22. But from what I've seen it closely resembles the Butler Creek which has been around for at least 20 years and proven to be quite reliable. I am ordering 2 or the Ruger BX clips while on sale to try out.

I have a BX-25 round mag and it was worked well for me. A great feature of the BX-25 mag is the fact that it is extremely easy to disassemble and clean. 2 screws and the mag is open.

They have videos on youtube on how to dissemble/reassemble them if you get stuck or aren't sure you can figure it out yourself.

I haven't used anything else other than the stock 10 round mag, but I see no reason to buy anything else but the BX-25 mags personally.

Yes, they are easy to disassemble and clean. I have three of the BX-25's and they are wonderful!
