Never really felt the need to myself but if you need you you certainly can take them apart. Done so many a times. Do so carefully and during reassembly, 8 is the magic number. |

I've taken mine apart several times for a cleaning, but a PIA to get the correct spring tension on reassembly. Kinda wears on your fingers. Taking them apart is the only way to do a real good cleaning. Try the BX25 mags, as they are a piece of cake to clean and reassemble.

Yes if it's legal to use them where you are, BX-25 mags are DESIGNED to come apart to be cleaned. Even if it isn't legal to use them where you are, they are still designed to come apart to be cleaned. |

Either I use clean ammo or just don't find them dirty enough to bother with.

I usually just blow them out with canned air, then use a Q-tip with some solvent to clean the feed lips, with a light film of oil afterwords. It also helps to have several mags around so you are not using the same two or three. I got lucky at a gun show and got 10 for $50.00.
