I put tech sights on my 10/22, then realized I cannot put the scope mount on it. Kind of wanted to try the scope on it but don't want to remove the tech Sights. I guess "I can't have my cake and eat it too" or is there a solution I have not thought of?

Ace In The Hole Sight Set Picatinny Base Ruger 10/22 Steel Blue
Not sure what your preferences are. This is a peep sight, but it also has a removable aperture if you want just a ghost ring. Not nearly as fancy as your Tech sights, but a good solution in my book. It also comes with a fiber optic single blade front sight that I absolutely love. So far so good.
Just my .02$
Good luck!

Not quite sure what "tech sights" are, but could you use see through scope mounts?

I am investigating Tech Sights right now. Looks to be an "either/or" proposition as far as I can tell. By which I mean that as best I can tell you cannot mount the Ruger-supplied weaver rail if you mount the Tech Sights. It looks like the Tech Sights go in the same drilled holes that the rail would use. Can someone using the Tech Sights verify this?

I really like them. For the plinking I like to do, they really work well on the 10/22td. They are extremely accurate. My friends range has steel targets at 40 and 100 yards and we were hitting consistently at both ranges.
My one complaint is with the rear peep. It has 2 small screws for adjusting windage and elevation. These screws loosen up with a lot of shooting and I lost the elevation screw. Will have to get another from Williams. I should have kept an eye on them and tightened them up. Just something to keep in mind.
I would highly recommend them for someone who wants peep sights and the ability to mount optics on a rail.
And no, I believe Tech sights use the available screw mounts so you would not be able to mount an optic.

| Check out True Shot sights...
If you want both a peep sight and an optic, check out True Shot sights...
I went with the bravo set, but the high mount will allow a scope and peep to work together.

I saw only one option in my search, it was a barrel mounted scope mount that meant you'd have to take it on and off every time you field strip. I can't imagine that would do wonders for your zero. I run the TSR100's and love them. I'm as accurate at 50 yards as I am with a scope. Not much need for 100 yards but that's just me. Check out brownells for scope mounts if you're interested in that barrel mounted affair. Pretty sure it was there that I saw it.

Given that a 10/22 is only $200 I took the lazy man's way out. I bought another 10/22 for use with the TSR100s and I'll keep one for use with my red dot sight and Weaver rail. Problem solved. |

A lot more pricey in Canada. $350.00 is what I would have paid for my 10/22 standard carbine had I not had a Savage MarkII G to trade for it. What I saved in initial cost I quickly blew on accessories |
