| 10 22 Takedown Picatinny?
Hey everyone. New Ruger fan here. I bought a 10 22 Takedown as well as a UTC Red/Green dot sight. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a picatinny rail for the takedown. I have seen some for the 10 22, but they look too long for the takedown. Any help would really be appreciated.

I used the Leupold Rifleman scope mount with blue loctite on my two Takedowns. It's a wee bit lower that the UTG one. Comes in matte black or silver.
The matte black is #56506. Check out the online reviews and you'll see the comments about the ease of using the iron sights once you pull a scope or green/red dot off. I use Warne QD medium rings 201LM on my scopes and Bushnell Trophy red dot/green dot and they're a great match with that base.
Good luck!

If it fits the standard 10/22 it should fit the takedown. By inspection they appear to come with the same weaver rail. What is wrong with the one Ruger suppies? It accommodated my EOTech XPS2-0 on my Takedown perfectly: |

As Bigfooter stated it is lower so when one removes the scope or red dot one can use the iron sights with the rail in place. |

I was curious myself in terms of adding the full tactical attachment that includes the tri-rail picatinny for the front part of the stock. the UTG unit (not just the scope rail but the full-blown tactical unit) requires that you bolt both on the barrel band AND the scope rail screw holes so it would completely nullify the "takedown" feature.
I'm thinking about ordering it and cutting off the scope rail part...

You won't have any issues mounting this to your Takedown model as they are the same as a standard model. It won't interfere with the take down portion of the barrel.
